Dancer. Singer. Actor. Choreographer

Renell Taylor is a New Orleans native and interdisciplinary artist who spends most of his time dancing through the halls and singing in the shower. Renell has always done theatre here and there but started in-depth training in his first year at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. He took his first dance classes, acting coaching, and voice lessons from excellent teachers such as Stephanie Kammer and Daniel Pruksarnikal there.

Renell recently graduated from Elon University with a BFA in Music Theatre and a BA in Arts Administration. He has spent the last four years finding his authentic voice, creating art, and discovering his love for administration work.

In the past years, he has found a love for choreography and has served as the assistant choreographer for Elon's mainstage musicals, set pieces on his peers, and choreographed at local studios. Some of his favorite credits include assistant choreographing 42nd Street with Deb Leamy, and The Bubbly Black Girl beside Julio Agustin Matos and Keisha Wall. After graduating, Renell has also served as an assistant choreographer under Mara Newberry Greer at The Lexington Theatre Company.

Renell is super excited to break into the industry and hopes you will join him on the ride!
